Using the Optical Spot: Shapes
One reason I love the optical spot is the endless possibilities it offers to change the story with just a few adjustments.
The optical spot uses a lens to focus a beam of light. In between the light and the lens, you can use a GOBO to change the shape of the light.
GOBO stands for "GO Between Optics" -- it's a term we use to describe anything we use to project shapes with light.
If you use the optical spot by itself, it makes a circle.
When you use a gobo, you are only limited by your imagination!
The STAR is included with your optical spot kit.
There are additional packs you can purchase, hundreds of size M gobos predesigned, or you can even 3D print your own.
How do you think the star shape changes the story? Which would you use, or would you try both? What other shape(s) would you use? Would love to hear your thoughts on how you'd explore this concept!
